BCS Sports 210 — Behind the Build
A custom ordering platform for a San Antonio team apparel and printing shop: product configurators with live pricing, one cart for every product, online payment, and an artwork process built around how the shop works.

- 26Product ordering pages
- 12Large-format product categories
- 4More services: screen printing, embroidery, team gear and fundraising
What BCS Needed, and How We Built It
Price custom products online
Product configurators calculate the price as customers choose size, material, printing and options, using retail prices the owner approved.
One cart for every kind of product
Banners, signs, flags, tents and table covers share one cart. Items that still need a price are marked "Price Pending Confirmation", never shown as $0.
Payment before production artwork
The owner’s rule for every product: customers pay first and upload print-ready artwork second, from their order page.
Keep custom and quote-only jobs simple
Custom work goes through a quote request. BCS approves the quote and arranges payment before design or artwork begins.
Clear design fees
A design fee applies per new design. Reusing a design the shop already has is free, and the cart lists the fee for each new design.
Be found in search
A sitemap, search-friendly product pages and a custom not-found page, so each product can be found on its own.
Pay First, Upload Artwork Second
Select a step to see what happens. Priced products follow this path; custom jobs go through a quote first.
Configure: Choose size, material, printing and options. The price updates as you go.

Completed and live
- Custom website design and development. A purpose-built site for screen printing, embroidery, large-format printing, team gear and fundraising.
- Custom branding and graphics. The BCS identity carried through the navigation, homepage hero imagery, service pages, a branded not-found page and a custom cursor.
- Online product ordering. 26 large-format product pages that customers configure and order online.
- Product configurators. Each product is priced live as size, material, printing and finishing options are chosen.
- Shopping cart. One cart for every product type, with itemized totals, a per-design fee and the configured sales tax.
- Square payment integration. Square checkout in production, with signed payment confirmations that mark each order as paid.
- Pay-first artwork uploads. Production artwork can be uploaded only from a paid order’s page, and BCS approves the proof before production.
- Quotes and notifications. Quote and fundraising inquiry forms, with emails sent from the shop’s own verified domain.
- Mobile-responsive design. The storefront and product configurators are laid out for phones, tablets and desktops.
- Search foundations. A sitemap, search-friendly product pages, canonical metadata and redirects from retired pages.
School Stores
The homepage School Stores section and school search are built. Individual school storefronts are added as programs are set up with each school.
Fundraising programs
The fundraising page explains the program and takes inquiries. Products, pricing and proceeds are agreed with each organization before a fundraiser launches.
Online checkout went live on October 25, 2026. This case study describes the work delivered; it does not report sales, traffic or conversion figures.
